Quality Antique Shaped Front Mahogany Chest of Drawers

A good quality antique mahogany shaped front oak lined chest of drawers standing on cabriole legs.

This chest of drawers has a double serpentine shaped front, the top being bookmatch veneered in flame mahogany enclosed by a crossbanded border and moulded edge.

The top sits over four shaped and graduated fully oak lined drawers with hand cut dovetails and cockbeaded edges. Each drawer, being flanked by blind fret canted corners, has two fretted brass swan neck handles and matching central escutcheon plate with lock.

Raised on cabriole legs with carved shell to the knee this antique chest of drawers dates to circa 1910-1920 and has a good faded mahogany colour.

Offered in excellent condition this chest of drawers has been restored using traditional methods and will make a fine addition to the home. Due to its size this chest can also be used in most rooms of the house.

VIEWINGS

We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.
