An antique "Express" English Lever sterling silver pocket watch from J G Graves of Sheffield.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. A winding key will be included. The watch was made by the Lancashire Watch Company and retailled by J G Graves. The movement is protected by a fitted inner dust cover.

The watch measures 51.5mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is sterling silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1897, with a maker's mark TPH for The Lancashire Watch Co Ltd (Thomas Peter Hewitt). The case has some wear to the engine turned detail and a couple of mild bruieses to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1890s piece.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The enamel dial is signed The "Express" English Lever, J G Graves, Sheffield. The dial has a faint hairline crack under the sub second dial and an old repair mainly under the bezel at 1 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands with a blued steel sub seconds hand.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
