Exceptionally fine circular silver trinket box, with beautiful, hinged, tortoiseshell lid. The box stands on three pretty paw feet. When opened the box is nicely lined with cream velvet. The body of the piece is not embellished with any engraving, and the lovely shape and simplicity of the polished silver make it particularly attractive, enhanced by the colours in the lid. The underside of the box is lined with leather and very clear hallmarks are visible around the silver border for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1927 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. Maker''s marks for the renowned maker ''Walker & Hall'' are also very clear.
Condition: This piece is in great antique condition.
