Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The carving on the base is very crisp, while the legs have superb shell carvings with claw & ball feet. These armchairs have just come out of a London private residence & the upholstery is in excellent condition & of neutral colour. The seats are fully sprung with feather cushions & the fabric is double piped around the bottom edges. It’s rare for us to come across upholstered items in such good condition. These armchairs are of extremely high quality & I’m quite tempted to take these home, because I find this model of chair to be the most comfortable.
