An Antique “Express” English Lever Pocket Watch by J G Graves of Sheffield.

Description

An antique “Express” English Lever pocket watch by J G Graves of Sheffield.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. The movement is protected by a fitted inner cover. A winding key is included.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1901 with a maker’s mark for the case maker J.G.Graves Shefield. The case has the odd small "ding" to the outer edge and light surface marking from use and the engine turned detail on the back has some wear but overall it is in nice condition for a 1900s piece.

The watch glass is in nice condition.

The signed white enamel dial has a very faint hairline crack to the bottom of sub second dial but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold hands. (the blued steel sub second had is possibly later although antique.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
