Puckerings has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.

The lid is mounted with the curling stone handle made from turned Ebony wood and mounted with sterling silver. The hinged lid opens to reveal a removable ink chamber making it easy to refill and clean. The silver mounts are fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1902 together with the maker's initials for the famous silversmith, John Grinsell and Sons.
An impressive piece measuring 4 1/4" in diameter x 3 1/4" tall. Excellent condition, minor wear commensurate with age.
