Description

A smart late Victorian brass cased travelling compass with lid to protect the glass crystal and engaging the built in transit lock when fitted.

The compass has a silvered dial and the direction is indicated by an English cross bar needle which pivots on a jewelled bearing.

Dating to around 1890, the compass remains in superb condition. 1 3/4" in diameter x 5/8".
