Silver Cut And Etched Scent / Perfume Bottle Birmingham 1912

A very pretty silver & cut glass perfume bottle. The fluted glass is acid etched with swags, bows, tassels and a delicate floral design. The body of the glass also has a cut glass cross hatched band and a star cut base. The silver top of the is hinged and opens to reveal a glass stopper that fits snugly. The silver collar is hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1912 and Lion Passant to indicate sterling silver. Maker''s marks are also visible for John Grinsell and Sons. The inside of the lid is also marked with the date stamp and Lion Passant.
 
 
 
Condition:
 
Both the cut glass and the silver in in good antique condition, just a couple of nibbles to the stopper that is only to be expected.
