Rare Edwardian Solid Silver Card Case 1902

A superb EDWARDIAN SOLID SILVER CARD CASE made by Arthur Cook in 1902.

This lovely Antique Card Case is of rectangular form with beautifully scalloped edges and with an unusual diagonal opening lid. The case has a superb all over floral and scroll engraved design and has a blank shield-shaped cartouche which could be used to personalise this stunning piece.

In excellent condition and free from any added engravings, initials or monograms, this lovely card case is of a size that can still be used with today's business or credit cards and would make a wonderful gift or would enhance any collection.

Finally, shown in the last photograph is a card found inside dating from 2nd. August 1899 presumably belonging to a previous owner and long forgotten and which illustrates how little use this case has had in its lifetime.
