A Late 19th Century French carved gilt wood and bergere canapé. Having a shaped back with finely carved acanthus leaf and floral detail. With shaped cane work panels, swept arms and an oval padded seat newly re-upholstered in a traditional patterned silk. The shaped seat rail with a central carved cartouche all supported on shaped cabriole supports with whorl feet. England circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 43" wide x 37" high x 23" deep (seat height 16")

Condition: This canapé is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. Newly re-upholstered to a high standard in a patterned silk
