The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. It is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures just 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The A&N CSL were in business from 1871 to 1934. The Society was formed by a group of army and navy officers for the supply of articles of domestic consumption and general use to its members at the lowest remunerative rates. The case is in lovely condition. The front cover has a small lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens over a white enamel dial. The dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands including the special hour hand so that the time can be read even when the front cover is closed. The hands are pin set.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
