The madder-red colour in this rare '6-gul' Teke Turkmen torba is beautiful and ranks up there with the best of Teke work. The weave is incredibly fine and shows the high quality of work achieved by the best Teke weavers - in this case, a woman at the very top of her profession.

This torba was undoubtedly a dowry piece and never intended for sale or barter.
