Description

A very nice large painted cupboard with a shelved interior and original painted decoration, dating from the early 20th Century. There is an applied wooden plaque inside the door which reads "El Rico Habano. Habana". This is a brand of Cigars and so it is likely that this was from a retail shop selling the cigars.

The decoration is classical in style in a muted palette and the paint has crackled and faded over time. The interior is painted green with two movable shelves and the cabinet stands on four small feet.

It is in good original condition. It has a working lock and key and the hinges are in good order. There are signs of age and use but no major damages and the whole piece is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and given a light coat of wax and is ready for the home.
