Description

A fabulous and most unusual letter holder made from English cast brass with a weighted base seen from the underside.

The figure is a mythical part Putti or Cherub and part Goat right down to the hoofs. The holder itself is made to hold just a couple of letters and are held tightly in place; it would make a wonderful menu holder in the centre of the dinner table at a special occasion.

A splendid piece in excellent condition with a base diameter measuring 3 3/4" and standing 6 1/2" tall. Victorian in era dating to c.1880.
