Pr Japanese Satsuma Porcelain Kizan Vases – Meiji Period

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Jon Irvine Antiques

A beautiful pair of Japanese Meiji period satsuma porcelain vases on a nice creamy off-white ground finely painted & gilded all the way around each vase with a procession of Geisha, on one vase travelling left to right, and the other right to left. Each vase is finished with a gilt band around the rim and foot with a border below the rim and both vases have a red seal mark on the underside which I believe is for Kizan, each vase stands 10 inches tall and both are in excellent condition with no damage or restoration.
