Description

George Paice (1854 - 1925) 'Teck' and 'Vick', a pair terriers, watercolour and body-colour on buff coloured paper, signed G. Paice, 'Vick' also dated '04, within original oak frames with gilt slips.

Framed size: 27cm x 34.5cm ( 19.5cm x 27.5cm image size)

George Paice was from a wealthy family with a keen interesting in racing. His work is fairly prolific and during his lifetime he made a good living from private commissions from wealthy patrons. He also exhibited seven times at the Royal Academy and four times at the Royal Society of British Artists and is best known for his horse and dog portraits.
