Description

A beautiful and entirely original pair of empire period, (1800-1815), andirons depicting classical head profiles and lion and urn finial pediments. These are large and imposing period pieces and very rare. The finishing touch for any quality fireplace.

They are embellishments to a hearth to support fire irons or can carry a grate.

Dimensions.

Front to back. 16 inches.

Width of brasswork to front. 8.75 inches.

Height to top of urn finial. 7 inches.
