Description

This practical cabinet, although unlabelled, is typical of the design favoured by the famous taxidermists and natural history suppliers, 'gardner of oxford st' who resided at various oxford st addresses and dealt in natural history items from the mid 19th century until around 1920.

The twelve drawers are base lined with cork and throughout with white cartridge paper. The cabinet is ready for use for a host of collectables.

The drawers are fitted with the characteristic ebony knobs and the drawer dividers are ebonised. Each drawer carries the original label plate and a working lock and key are fitted.

A small and highly versatile collectors cabinet.

Front to back. 13.75 inches.

Drawers.

Width. 16 inches.

Front to back. 11 inches.

Overall depth. 2 inches. (imperial depth).
