Just magnificent! A rare chuval (bedding-bag-face), made by Ersary Turkmen in the Beshir area of the middle Amu Darya Region circa 1850/1860. Pieces like this are often better seen 'in the wool' as it is often difficult to photograph the wonderful natural colours and in this case, the stunning Ersary yellow. In excellent condition, the wool quality here is the very best - soft and lustrous.
