A charming Paris porcelain figure of a castanet player c.1850 in the manor of Jacob Petit, the handsome young man depicted in a fluid stance with finely painted & gilded clothing, finished with a spray of hand painted flowers in a central shell motif on the base. This colourful figure has a hole at the back so may have been used as a spill vase and is incised with numbers on the underside, it is in excellent overall condition with no damage or restoration and stands 12 inches tall.
