Extremely rare fine Edwardian two door mahogany inlaid display china cabinet. With curved glass sides and serpentine glass front. The glass cutter here was most certainly sweating when this was cut. Serpentine glass panel, probably the most difficult free hand cut one can attempt.
I have in my day freehand cut crown glass for astragal bookcases at about 7/10 success rate I seem to remember. The hand and nerve required to cut a wide sheet of thin serpentine glass requires one single movement of constant pace and pressure applied whilst going up and down over a wave maintaining constant movement and pressure from start to finish. Extremely skilful.
