A beautiful French Paris porcelain coffee can by Marc Shoelcher c.1830 on Paris blue ground with a circular gilt bordered cartouche on the front hand painted with a maiden fleeing a snake, it has a gilded handle and interior with gilt accents around the body and is marked Shoelcher on the underside. This fine example has typical wear in places otherwise it is in excellent condition standing 2 ½ inches tall.
