Description

An unusual 19th.Century Venetian painted throne chair of generous proportions and of “X” shape form. The cresting rail with small carved cherubs either side of a cartouche and larger cherubs to the sides of the upholstered back. The open shaped arms terminating in scroll ends and the “X” frames with applied end patrae, the front legs ending in carved claw feet, the back legs with scroll feet and joined with a turned stretcher. The whole in useable condition but has not been cleaned or waxed and shows signs of wear to the paintwork associated with age and use. Dimensions:- Height...38.5''/ 98cm. Width...29.5''/ 75cm. Depth...28''/ 71cm. Seat Height...15''/ 38cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
