Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the Regency era.
It is supported on a well carved column with gadrooned 'collar' leading to a quadrapartite base and melon-carved feet with original castors. 17.5 x 13ins; 29.5ins high.
A teapoy was a table used to store and serve tea and sugar. Clearly not used as such today, they are however ideal as a useful and inexpensive side table that also provides storage.
