George II Oak Side Table

Description

A George II Oak Side Table.

The top with an generous overhang, and ogee mould edge, above a frieze set with a drawer. The drawer with a rounded mould edge, mounted with a pair of brass plate handles. The lower frieze by an arcaded centre, and the ends in a curved bracket to meet the shoulders of the gently cabrioled tapering legs, finished with pad feet, raised on small circular plinths.

Date c 1730.
