Description

A 19th Century Gilt Wood Pedestal.

The pedestal carved in the form of a classical vase.

The flat circular top surrounded by a rim of stiff leaf decoration above the body, decorated as rising stiff leaves, from which emerge rising flutes. The vase mounted with a pair of scrolled leaf handles.

The vase standing on a circular outswept socle and square plinth, the edge of the plinth decorated with a chamfered band of leaves. The whole raised up on four lions paw feet.

Date c 1830.
