Description

An exhibition quality kingwood & tulipwood parquetry inlaid French writing box constructed using the finest kingwood and tulipwood veneers with herring bone parquetry inlaid panels and finely cast ormolu and mouldings. The hinged top section opening to reveal stationery compartments, inkwells and a pen tray. The lower section also hinged opens to reveal a velvet lined writing surface with kingwood and tulipwood cross banded detail. French circa 1880, almost certainly made by a Parisian cabinet maker but un-marked.

Dimensions: 15" wide x 9" high x 12" deep

Condition: This stationery box is in stunning original condition, cleaned and waxed
