Description

A pretty and highly sought-after heart shaped pill box fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1897, making it a true Victorian example. The makers initials are also present for the top-notch silversmith, Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings -Frank- Shepherd,

The box has an all-over repousse or embossed decoration with a crimped edge to the lid. The hinged lid fits well and once opened, reveals a lavishly gilded interior.

Excellent condition measuring 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 7/8" tall.
