A good Victorian Ivory box of rectangular form it has a hinged cover engraved and stained blue with a monogram, the box has a push button clasp to open with brass hinges and six internal compartments of differing size. This fine box is surprisingly heavy at 595g (21oz) and both the lid & base are made from a single piece of ivory, it has taken on a lovely honey colour to the base over the years and measures 8 inches across.
