Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a fine early 19th century rosewood CARD TABLE of particularly good and impressive quality.

The beautifully-figured top, with its bead-and-dart moulding opens to reveal the maroon baize-lined interior, whilst the frieze is decorated with applied 'panels' and further bead-and-dart moulding to the lower edge.

It is supported on a tapering octagonal column with two gadrooned 'collars' leading to reeded legs and fine cast brass ornate castors. A stunning table! 36ins wide; 17ins deep; 29ins high.
