The 8-day movement retains its original verge escapement, striking hours on a bell and repeating hours at will.

The dial is lovely with "Strike/Silent" in the arch and pendulum regulation through the dial (hence the two subsidiary dials) plus mock pendulum and date aperture above "VI". 16ins high; 11ins wide; 7.5 ins deep.
Conyers Dunlop was apprenticed in 1725; became a member of the Clockmakers Company in 1733 and died in 1770.
