A Fine Walnut and Burr Oak George I Period Antique Bureau.

Description

A Fine walnut and burr oak George I Period antique bureau. The top is veneered in figured walnut and the fall front having a wonderful burr oak centre panel banded in walnut , retaining the original lock plate and key, opening to reveal a well fitted interior with drawers, pigeon holes and a sunken well. The front has two long and two short oak lined drawers with engraved brass handles and escutcheons. The sides veneered in figured walnut and supported on shaped block feet. English circa 1720

Dimensions: 36" wide x 40.5" high x 21" deep

Condition: This bureau is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. The front and side feet have been re-veneered probably in the 1900s, some minor moulding and veneer loss to the fall

A Fine walnut and burr oak George I Period antique bureau.
