Description
Early Victorian silver snuff box; the hinged lid/cover depicts horses and their riders leaping over fences in a rural scene, this is decorated in relief. The rectangular box has a foliate thumbpiece and fine engine-turned decoration to the sides and base. The interior is beautifully gilded. A fine example, by a good snuff box maker. Birmingham. 1843.
