Victorian Embossed Silver Cream Jug 1892

This delightful SOLID SILVER CREAM JUG was made by James Dixon & Sons in 1892.

Sitting on a flat base the sides of the jug are all over embossed and chased with a scroll, foliage and flowers design. The jug has a scalloped rim and is finished with an elegant scroll handle and the interior of the jug retains its light gilt coating.

There are no added monograms, initials or engravings and this pretty jug is in excellent condition despite being 125 years old.

There is one small dent to the base - nothing much but mentioned for accuracy.
