Japanese Meiji Period Mixed-media Bronze IVory And Hardwood Fisherman Okimono

A fabulous Japanese Meiji period mixed media bronze & ivory okimono of a fisherman on a naturalistically carved hardwood base in the form of a rock at the edge of a flowing river, it depicts an excited fisherman stood over the water his rod raised above his head with one hand and a fish he has just caught clasped in the other. This fine okimono is beautiful drawn showing the fisherman in a fluid stance, it is signed on the bronze with an original label on the underside and stands 13 ¼ inches to the top of the rod.
Condition: The line was once attached to the lip of the fish but the hook is no longer attached, otherwise the okimono is in excellent condition commensurate with age.
