Silver and enamel Arts & Crafts necklace with ornate chainwork and a complex of little graduated length drops.
Set inside a silver frame decorated with a rope pattern border around most of its circumference, the largest of the three enamelled roundels is divided by a horizontal silver bar with a small green glass cabochon in its centre.
This is suspended on a series of chains below two smaller enamelled circles. each set in an irregularly shaped silver frame that hangs on three further short chains from a cluster of little silver balls which finally connect to the neckchain.
Circa 1900, almost certainly English and quite beautifully made but by a maker whose name we''ll never know since the necklace is unmarked or signed.
Opened out, the total length is 46 cm.
