The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has an inscription, HS from HLG, 1918.
The watch itself measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside all the covers for London (import mark), 1918/19.
The small glass lens to the front cover is surrounded by Roman numerals with blue enamel infill.

The button on the winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens. Original glasses lenses were often replaced with acrylic when they broke, it is a more durable material and looks so similar to glass.
The white enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
