Antique Cyma Craftsman Pocket Watch with Chain

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Craftsman pocket watch by Cyma, with chain.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, calibre 998, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made in England by the Dennison Watch Case Company. It was usual for movements to be imported into the UK to be cased and prepared for onward wholesale / retail. The case is in good condition, just one slight indentation to the back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed through a magnifying glass then you can see a faint hairline running through number 4. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes on a double albert, with each chain measuring approximately 20cm long.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
