A Stunning Quality Flamed Mahogany Early Victorian Drum Table

Description

A stunning quality flamed mahogany Early Victorian drum table. Having a circular top with a green leather writing surface with gilt and blind tooled detail and a figured mahogany border. The frieze with four oak lined drawers and three dummy drawers plus a hinged compartment for an inkwell and pen trays. All the drawer fronts veneered in beautifully figured flamed mahogany veneers and retaining the original mahogany drawer pulls. Supported on an acanthus carved bulbous stem and three carved cabriole supports terminating in "Dolphin" feet with inset brass and porcelain castors. English circa 1850-1860

Condition: This drum table is in stunning condition, cleaned and waxed with a superior quality replacement leather insert
