Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The drawer has the original brass handles & escutcheon, plus a middle lock. These tables are known in the trade as silver tables, but I’m not entirely sure why. This model has been around for around 300 years old & seems to be well copied. This one is a very nice example. Maybe it was originally made to use to place the silver tea set on. Any suggestions welcome.
