Description

A pair of early 20th Century satinwood and painted demi lune commodes in fantastic condition, the semi circular tops painted with ribbons and floral decoration with the border depicting an elegant intertwining pattern, the front of the cabinets profusely painted all over with various flowers, bows, leaves and patraes, each door having oval and circular panels depicting various ladies in countryside scenes, with each of the three bowfronted doors opening to reveal a single shelf inside each compartment, the cabinets supported on nicely shaped elegant spade feet. Circa 1920.
