Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
With newly recovered upholstered tuff-over seat on moulded tapered legs united by an H cross stretcher. The seat has been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition. A lovely rich colour with a warm patina to the mahogany. This chair is solid and sturdy and would make a great desk chair – however it does have some of old mends to the back (see photos).
