Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The rounded body has a fluted spout with serpentine shape. The ornate reeded handle has an applied cast panel with shell and floral motifs and two ivory heat diffusers. The base has four pad feet with motifs echoing the handle. The rim is fluted and the lid has a fine concealed hinge reflecting the quality and finish of the piece. There is a hallmarked silver knop to the lid.

This good capacity teapot pours well and holds 8 - 10 standard size cups of tea.

Condition :- Excellent, with no holes, dents or splits. There is the odd small blemish to the body and a small amount of rippling to the knop, commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, full marks to body, part marks to handle, lid and knop.
