French Porcelain-mounted Ormolu Mantle Clock

Description

A particularly fine quality mid-19th century French porcelain-mounted MANTLE CLOCK which retains all of its superb original mercury gilding.

The case is of finest quality ormolu (gilt bronze) with urn surmount; pineapple finials and mounted with "Sevres" porcelain panels to the sides, the urn and below the beautiful matching porcelain dial.

The 8-day movement is of typically fine quality, striking hours and half-hours on a bell. Perfect working order and guaranteed at least two years. 14ins high (overall); 10ins wide; 5ins deep. (35.5 x 25 x 12.5cms)
