Gents 9 Carat Gold Accurist Wrist Watch, 1955

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s 9 carat gold Accurist wrist watch.

The watch has a signed 21-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1955 with a maker’s mark for the British Watch Case Company. The case is in nice condition with just the odd minor mark and some wear to the inner lugs from a previous metal strap.

The lens is in nice condition.

The signed sunburst dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition with just light surface marking. Original hands, centre seconds and outer minute markers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
