Stevens & Williams Green Over Red Intaglio Cut Vase By Joshua Hodgetts

Offering a superb Stevens & Williams intaglio cut glass vase by Joshua Hodgetts of cylindrical form with a circular foot and star cut base, the vase is green over clear flashed with a red tint and beautifully cut with an intricate repeating border around the base and flowering chrysanthemum growing up to a wheel cut border at the knopped top. This stunning vase is a wonderful example of Joshua Hodgetts finest work, it is in excellent condition with no damage and stands 10 inches tall.
A Very similar vase sold at Woolley & Wallis in Sep 2006 arts and crafts sale – lot 413 and can be seen in Charles Hajdamach’s book: British Glass 1800 – 1914 Page 288 Plate 31
