Regency Oval Mirror with Giltwood & Blue Glass Frame

Description

A stunning Regency mirror in a highly decorative giltwood and blue glass frame. The giltwood frame has an inner border in egg and dart design and unusual panels of deep blue glass. The panels are divided by carved shield motifs, suggesting a heraldic theme. The outer frame has floral and foliage carving. This is an outstanding antique mirror, the combination of giltwood and blue glass is superb and typifies the elegance and flare of Regency design. The condition is excellent and the mirror is presented ready to hang. A really incredible antique mirror that would make an impact in any interior.
