Description

An 18th century Imari Charger.

The broad sloping rim surrounding the slightly dished, thence flat centre.

The rim decorated with bow topped panels, filled with rising flowers, amongst which butterflies and grasshoppers flit. The area between each panel filled with spreading flowers.

The centre of the charger painted with a large blooming flower and leaves, all held within a fine flower band.

The underside with a raised foot rim, and the underside of the rim decorated with trailing flowers.
