A Handsome Late Victorian Leather Carved Wing Chair

A very handsome and well carved late Victorian leather upholstered mahogany wing back armchair in the manner of Giles Grendey.

This extremely well drawn chair of imposing size has superb proportions.

The square back with shaped wings which serpentine down to outswept scrolling barrel armrests with a good sized feather cushion making this armchair very comfortable indeed.

It is fully upholstered in a hand dysoft leather hyde with brass nail finish surround. Raised on the most ornately carved foliate base with satyr masks to the centre and knees of each cabriole leg which terminate on hairy paw feet.

VIEWINGS

We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.

We will happily arrange for clients to be collected travelling via train. Local stations being Hertford North, Stevenage and Ware, all being a 10 minute drive from us.
