Description

A beautiful George I style walnut, burr walnut, parcel gilt and herring bone banded antique secretaire bookcase. The upper breakfront section having a fine acanthus and shell carved parcel gilt cornice above three glazed doors with block moulded glazing bars, opening to reveal six adjustable bookshelves. The lower section having a central secretaire drawer with fitted interior flanked by two oak lined storage drawers with finely engraved period style handles and backplates above three panelled doors made from the finest burr walnut with herringbone banded detail, enclosing a shelved interior. The whole raised on a Greek Key moulded plinth with ogee shaped feet and parecl gilt acanthus leaf detail. English circa 1900 in the George I Style

Dimensions: 76" high x 56" wide x 17" deep

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
